When the war broke out on October 7, the distress in my soul developed and increased. It started that Saturday evening with physical pain in my jaws, pain due to closing the jaws tightly and grinding teeth throughout that day, during which I had an idea of ​​what was happening in the south of Israel and I was unable to help. As the days passed, the distress increased. One day, I looked out of my window at the building in front of me, and there on the roof I saw the neighbor's plight, visible to me visually, the solar heater on the neighbor's roof was wrapped with the Israeli flag. I took the camera, opened the window and did my thing- record the distress.

This is how the work "Distress Flags" was born. The creation documents those flags that were hung out of their natural place by my neighbors, and people like me, who share the same predicament. The distress flags were hung out of the need to hold on, to share in an unbearable weight, to call out, to cry out, and most of all - out of the distress, the pain and the mental difficulty that prevails in our hearts and on the streets. The exhibition implicitly and indirectly reflects the collective and private trauma from the stillness in the public space.

עת פרצה המלחמה ב7 באוקטובר, התפתחה וגדלה המצוקה בנפשי. זה התחיל מכאב פיזי בלסתות באותה שבת בערב, כאב עקב סגירת הלסתות בחוזקה וחריקת שיניים במשך כל אותו היום, בו היה לי מושג על שמתחולל ביישובי עוטף ישראל (עוטף עזה) ולא היה בידי לעזור. ככל שנקפו הימים המצוקה רק התגברה. יום אחד, הבטתי מחלון ביתי אל הבנין שמולי, ושם על הגג ראיתי את המצוקה של השכן, נגלית למולי באופן חזותי, דוד השמש על גג השכן עטוף בדגל ישראל. לקחתי את המצלמה, פתחתי את החלון ועשיתי מה שאני יודעת לעשות, לתעד. את המצוקה.כך נולדה היצירה "דגלי מצוקה". היצירה מתעדת את אותם הדגלים שנתלו לא במקומם הטבעי על ידי שכניי, ואנשים כמוני, השותפים לאותה מצוקה. דגלי המצוקה נתלו מתוך הצורך בהאחזות, בשותפות בכבד מנשוא, בקריאה החוצה, בזעקה, ויותר מכל- מתוך המצוקה, הכאב והקושי הנפשי השוררים בלב וברחוב. התערוכה משקפת באופן מרומז ואמצעי מן הדומם במרחב הציבורי את הטראומה הקולקטיבית והפרטית.
